The open joint-stock research and production company FiBr-Med works on development and introduction into production of an innovative medication method.
The developers have designed the unique “Silverol®” medication based on coordination metals compounds (salts of silver, platinum etc). The preparation demonstrates an integrated antibacterial, virusocidal, immunomodulatory action and an enhanced therapeutic effect (cytostatic, antibacterial, virusocidal). Developing the medication required solving a rather tough problem: achieving a synergetic action of the components. There were found effective transportants (the substances to carry active components to the tumor cells).
“Silverol®” effectively treats viral and bacterial diseases even in cases when the etiologic bacteria are antibiotic-resistant. Treatment with the preparation leads to an evident state improvement, as demonstrated by the experiment on diseased animals with the following leucocytes and lymphocytes control through the hematologic analysis. Testing is carried out in association with the Departments of agriculture of Tula Region, Krasnodar and Stavropol Krais.
Physical characteristics
The medication is a transparent liquid without any peculiar smell or color. The medication should be kept safe from light and stored at a temperature of 4°С.
Application
For treatment of infectious and malignant diseases, the medication is administered by intravenous injection as a 0.5% or 1% solution. Dosage and duration of treatment depend on a clinical condition of an animal and should be determined under a close hematological control. If administered per os (through a gastro-intestinal tract) for prevention and treatment, a 0.5% solution of “Silverol®” is added to water or food.
In summer 2007 the project of OJSC R&P FiBr-Med was selected as one of the best innovative projects in an exhibition in Moscow.
The medication is currently being tested for treatment and prevention of chlamydiosis, tuberculosis, bovine viral leukemia and other viral and bacterial diseases. The testing is carried out in a number of farms in different federal districts of Russia.
The team of OJSC R&P “FiBr-Med” aims to enter the market of medications. It is planned to acquire patents in 5-6 counties, enter the international pharmaceutical market and sell Russian and foreign licenses.
