1. sTs (Simple Trade Solution): Service for 3D flash images production
Dmitry Klimenko, (Tomsk) IT: software, Internet-projects We offer you fast and simple conversion of camera records into 3D flash images which can be published on a web-site. We all know that it’s very hard to understand what a product looks like in reality from its image on a site, which is why customers are often disappointed when they receive their orders. We believe that online shop owners will find our service useful in making their shops more visually supported and satisfying. Producing a 3D model requires only a digital camera or a video-camera and a black-and-white print.
2. Development of eccentric-cycloid reducer production as a means of resource saving and development of effective equipment
Viktor Stanovskoy, JSC "Tekhnologiya Market " (Tomsk) High-technology equipment
The project falls into the field of machine building and the most important of its elements: gears, reducers, transmission mechanisms. We have developed a new type of eccentric-cycloid gearing which makes it possible to produce reducers which, under the same load characteristics, will have an up to 7 times smaller mass and size than gear sets (the figure depends on a structural type). Such minimization is a competitive advantage of eccentric-cycloid reducers which in prospect offer opportunities for development of highly reliable resource-saving equipment capable of maintenance-free operation. There were also designed new gears with external and internal teeth, and various patterns of epicyclical gears; first pilot samples were produced and tested, there started production and sale of the innovative production. The global volume of reducer machinery production is over $100 bln.

4. Nitek: ITrack navigation set
Dmitry Shelefontyuk, Institute of Atmospheric Optics SB RAS (Tomsk)
High-technology equipment
GPS/GLONASS/GSM/GPRS-based systems employ components of GPS/GLONASS signal location systems and GSM/GPRS data transmission channels. The new М2М (machine to machine) technology, which enjoys increasing popularity, offers many opportunities in developing monitoring systems and controlling various objects via cellular channels and the Internet.
5. System for monitoring of traction motors sparking in electromotive
Alexander Osadchenko, Tomsk Polytechnic University (Tomsk) Resource saving technology
Nowadays there is a pressing problem of resource-and-power saving in railway transportation in Russia. According to the statistics of OJSC “Russian Railways”, over 50% of cases of electromotive breakdowns are due to failures of traction motors. Collector-and-brush assembly is one of the most vulnerable assemblies in the motor. The project suggests introducing new methods and means to control collector-and-brush assemblies of traction motors in testing and operating conditions. The monitoring system makes it possible not only to detect sparkling, but also to predict commutation life of the motor. Implementing this system will help save money and time, since objective information on the condition of traction motors will make it possible to repair engine when necessary. Thus, it will be possible to reduce the number of idle locomotives due to planned and unplanned repair works, as well as the number of emergency situations.
6. Pharmaceutical projects management center "ProPharmM"
Alexei Lobanov, Tomsk State University (Tomsk) Biotechnology and medicine
There is a fixed sequence of actions in the process of development of novel pharmaceuticals: fundamental research – practical application of results (fusion of active agents, preclinical study of the pharmaceutical, clinical testing) – production management. This development cycle is almost 12 years long. Global investments in drugs development is estimated to be over $ 100 bln a year. It is customary in Russia that real potential in drug development lies in industrial research institutes and institutes of Russian Academies of Sciences and of Medical Sciences, which are mostly closed institutions. The aim of the project is to establish a specialized center for pharmaceutical projects management, which will be able to do the development center entirely or partly.
7. Software and hardware complex for functional examination of elements of electric systems (in operating regime)
Ilya Katz, Tomsk Polytechnic University (Tomsk) Resource saving technology
Nowadays there is a pressing problem of insufficient and unreliable parameters of electric system elements in Russia. In practice only the following parameters of electric regime are usually measured: effective current and voltage, electric energy output and input. Parameters for equivalent circuits of electric system elements are usually taken from reference, designing and certificate data. It is known that parameter values of electric systems change significantly while in service. Technical information on the controlled facility parameters is clearly not enough to evaluate its actual technical condition. This software and hardware complex for functional examination of electric system elements will enhance the effectiveness of electric system control. It will also make it possible to do repair works upon technical demand rather than hold planned preventive maintenance.
8. "TIRS" – Wireless microwave Internet bridge
Vasily Moloshnikov, Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices (Tomsk) Telecommunication products and services The Internet today is present in all aspects of our lives – it is found in our PCs, in our PDAs, in industrial equipment, even in refrigerators! For this reason the problem of connecting users to the web is ever-relevant. It often happens so that laying the wire is impossible or extremely expensive. The solution is to install a wireless connection. The product we offer you serves this purpose. It is a wireless microwave bridge “TIRS”. The system connects local networks within 2 kilometers reach at 100 mbps.
9. Device for detection of leaks in water supply and heating systems
Valeriy Avramchuk, Tomsk Polytechnic University (Tomsk) Nondestructive examination and diagnostics Prompt and accurate detection of leaks in hot and cold water supply systems is a pressing problem of public utilities, especially in Russia with its worn down water lines. Up to 30% of water leak away before reaching a consumer, mostly because of small leakages in water pipelines which are often very hard to find. This portable leak-detector makes it possible to identify a leaking spot more accurately and thus to reduce costs of digging and repair work. The principle of action of the device is calculation of cross-correlation function of vibroacoustic signals, which are placed on both sides of the pipeline sector for analysis.
10. LumTox: Portable bioluminescent detector for prompt detection of toxic agents for terrorist attacks prevention
Alisa Samoilova, Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk) Natural resources, ecology, society Solving the acute problem of terrorist attacks prevention requires new ultrasensitive, highly specific and simultaneously inexpensive methods of detecting toxic substances. Biotechnology is the most promising sphere for this, with its use of luminescent bacterial and their enzymatic systems. The aim of the project is to the market this efficient method of prompt detection of toxic agents for terrorist attacks prevention, and biosensors based on this method.
Social projects
1. "Wooden Joy for Children"
Natalia Kuznetsova, Tomsk State University (Tomsk) Social project Have you ever pondered on how many children need attention and support? Tomsk alone has at lest eight specialized institutions which are engaged in child care and support for disadvantaged teenagers. However, these governmental efforts are most often insufficient for financial support and adaptation to the society. Such children are often deprived of an opportunity to receive vocational training. This project is supposed to relieve the situation. The aim is to organize training of 12-18 year-old orphaned children in wood carving (making wooden toys). The toys are supposed to be given to younger children in orphanages. “Wooden Joy for Children” is a continuous project; having started in 2008, it has good prospects for following years. The project detail will be improved as it proceeds.

Alexander Tashkinov, Rosselkhozbank (Shegarskoye District)
Social project
At the present, Severnoye village of Shegarskoye District in Tomsk Region faces a problem of inadequate services in water supply, removal of domestic waste and maintaining of public roads. The idea of the project is to establish a cooperative organization in the village with its ownership equity formed by the property of the cooperative members (the villagers). The cooperative would provide life comfort support services of high quality within the community territory.
3. "Ladushki" Nursery School
Ekaterina Vostrotina, Tomsk State University (Tomsk)
Social project
According to the data of the Administration of Tomsk, currently available nursery schools can accommodate only 55% of Tomsk children. Even back in 2004 there were 11200 people in line for a place in a nursery school. Today the city needs 27 nursery schools for 6000 children. The first to be affected by this situation are young financially insecure families which already bear the burden of mortgage payments. The project aims to establish a general-development nursery school which would accommodate up to 50 children. There is supposed to be 3 groups, including an infant group, and 15 staff members. The project’s objective is to provide high-quality services of preschool education and to improve life standards for young families. The project counts on support form the Administration and business community.
